Foundation

Cultural Patronage Foundation works directly with selected filmmakers and artists, supporting their professional development and representing their creative work. We currently cooperate with film and theatre composer Szymon Nidzworski and filmmakers Mateusz Głowacki and Michał Krzywicki.

Our involvement goes beyond traditional representation. Depending on the project, we support creators in developing new concepts, preparing production and promotional materials, establishing relationships with producers, broadcasters, cultural institutions and festival organisers, and presenting their work to potential partners and audiences in Poland and abroad.

Through these activities, we aim to help Polish creators develop sustainable artistic projects, reach new audiences and establish international partnerships.

One of the Foundation’s key current initiatives is Polish Culture Days in Denver, organised together with the Polish Film Festival Denver Association. The project presents Polish culture to audiences in Colorado through a diverse programme combining film, theatre, visual arts, music, Polish cuisine and travel inspirations. It is aimed both at the Polish-American community and at a wider American audience interested in discovering contemporary Poland and its culture.

A central part of the programme is the return of the Polish Film Festival Denver, first organised in 2019. Following a break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival is returning in an expanded format, with screenings planned in Denver and Colorado Springs. Its programme focuses on contemporary Polish cinema and introduces Polish films and filmmakers to new international audiences. The long-term goal is to develop the festival into a recurring platform for promoting Polish cinema in Colorado and the wider Rocky Mountain region.

The Foundation is also developing “You Will Not Hear Birds Singing Here” (Nie usłyszysz tu śpiewu ptaków), an exhibition and accompanying cultural and educational programme dedicated to the Katyn cemeteries and the memory of victims of Soviet repression. The exhibition at the Katyn Museum in Warsaw will be accompanied by film screenings, meetings, educational activities and a scientific conference.

Film production is an important area of the Foundation’s activities. In 2025 we produced the documentary “Portrait of a Father” (Portret Ojca), based on the memories of children of Katyn massacre victims. The film premiered nationwide on TVP1 on the 85th anniversary of the Katyn massacre and was also presented at a special screening at the Katyn Museum in Warsaw. For the film, the Foundation was named a finalist in the Non-Profit Organisation category of the prestigious BohaterON Award, one of Poland’s leading distinctions recognising initiatives that preserve historical memory.

The Foundation has also supported and participated in a wide range of cultural and creative initiatives, including film and audiovisual industry events such as MEET ME, the cultural and historical platform Istoria.tv, theatre productions, exhibitions, concerts and socially engaged projects such as the “Just Like Everyone Else” campaign addressing loneliness and social isolation.

Our activities also include cooperation with major artistic events. The Foundation supported the “Jazz Stars” concert, bringing together leading Polish jazz musicians in a large-scale live music event.

We believe that supporting culture means not only producing individual events, but also building lasting relationships between artists, institutions and organisations. We cooperate with public institutions, cultural organisations, media, filmmakers, artists, independent producers and private partners, developing projects that combine artistic value with education, social engagement and international exchange.

Cultural Patronage Foundation connects artists, institutions and patrons around a shared belief that culture grows through collaboration. We create, produce, support and promote projects that bring people together – in Poland and internationally.
